Agni-II soars to success

The Strategic Forces Command (SFC) of the Army successfully test-fired Agni-II ballistic missile on Wheeler Island, off the Odisha coast on April 7, 2013.
The missile travelled its entire range of 2,000 km. Agni-II, developed by Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), is a two-stage missile propelled by solid fuel and capable of carrying nuclear warheads. Agni-I, Agni-II and Agni-III have already been inducted into the Army.
