India’s best-ever show at an international event:
India came up with their best-ever show at an international table tennis competition, winning four Gold and two Silver medals at the Slovak Junior Open in Senec, Slovakia that ended on June 2, 2013. Sutirtha Mukherjee won the girls’ singles title, beating compatriot Manika 13atra in the final. The other three Gold medals came in girls’ doubles (Sutirtha and Manika), boys’ doubles (Sudhanshu Grover and Abhishek Yadav), and girls’ team event (Manika, Sutirtha and Reeth Rishya).
