Belgium emerged champions at the Rabobank Hockey World League tournament which came to an end in Rotterdam, the Netherlands on June 23, 2013. In the final, they beat Australia 7-6 on penalties.
National junior men’s hockey championship : Traditional powerhouse Punjab retained the National junior men’s hockey championship which concluded in defeated Odisha by a 2-1 margin. Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy defeated Maharashtra in the play-off for the third place.
Hockey India senior National championship : Air
India Sports Promotion Board emerged victorious at the Hockey India senior National championship in Pune, Maharashtra on June 10, 2013. In the final, they thrashed holders Hockey Punjab by a 6-2 margin. In the play-off for the third place, Hockey Karnataka beat Hockey Haryana.
