World Cup kabaddi champion­ship : The third World Cup kabaddi championship, held in Ludhiana, Punjab, ended on December 16, 2012. India retained the men’s title, defeating Pakistan 59-22 in the final. If is India’s third consecutive title triumph.

India also clinched the women’s crown at the championship. In one-sided final, the Indian eves thrashed Malaysia by a 72-12  margin.
